I am a feminist, Genevieve Nnaji is opening up
Genevieve Nnaji, in an interview with Women and Hollywood, revealed that she was a feminist. Genevieve made this statement when she was asked to name her favorite film directed by a woman and why. She says
"Patty Jenkins" "Wonder Woman". It was powerful and strong, both feminine and sexy. I am a proud feminist who embraces her femininity. I sometimes feel that women feel embarrassed and ashamed of their feminine condition. Maybe like Wonder Woman, we could wake up one day to find out that it's our superpower, and then we would be unstoppable.
On the #MeToo and #TimesUp moves, Nollywood's diva said:
"How quickly the oppressed have reached the top, yet the train has not stopped. In any case, they continue to create incredible content. "
History has shown that in almost all situations where a group of people or a demographic group is oppressed, it is usually because the oppressed are threatened by the potential of the great oppressed. I am happy that women around the world are discovering their superpower and transforming "why me?" Into "not me".
